Sun Microsystems to buy the assets of SavaJe - Chelmsford, MA

Sun Microsystems Inc. is buying the assets of SavaJe Technologies Inc., a developer of a mobile phone operating system built around Sun's Java technology. The deal ends an eight-year ride that saw SavaJe spin off from Lucent Technologies Inc. in 1999 and raise more than $120 million from a large group of venture investors, including two recapitalizations in 2002 and 2006.
