Mobicious Raises $4 Million in First Round of VC - Waltham, MA

Mobicious, a Waltham-based, online provider of mobile phone content, services and applications, has raised $4 million in its first round of venture capital, led by North Bridge Venture Partners and Carmel Ventures. Among the mobile phone services and technology that Mobicious is developing are weather information, news and sports, music and videos, ringtones, images and games, and mobile websites. The company was co-founded by George Grey, previously president and COO of SavaJe Technologies, a Boston-based software company, and David Chang, previously director of product marketing at m-Qube, a mobile content company acquired by VeriSign last year.
