Conduit Labs Raises $5.5 Million in First Round - Cambridge, MA

Conduit Labs, a Cambridge-based startup that is developing online social gaming services, has raised $5.5 million in its first round of venture capital. Investors in the deal include Charles River Ventures and Prism VentureWorks. Founders of Conduit were previously involved in the development of Guitar Hero, the Ambient Orb, Asheron's Call, and Lord of the Rings Online. "We are bored of the same old social networks, virtual worlds, and MMOs," the company's website states. "We've been doing this kind of thing for a long time, so we're trying something new."
