SupplyWorks Inc. has been acquired by Intuitive Manufacturing Systems for an undisclosed amount - Bedford, MA
SupplyWorks' software is used by manufacturers to communicate with suppliers and reduce inventories.
The Bedford, Mass., firm was founded in 1996 and received more than $26 million in funding. Backers included Waltham, Mass.-based firms Atlas Venture, Longworth Venture Partners, and North Bridge Venture Partners. Intuitive itself was acquired in November by Marlin Equity Partners of El Segundo, Calif., Intuitive sells enterprise planning software for manufacturers, and has its headquarters in Kirkland, Wash.
