Constant Contact Raises $15 Million in Venture Capital - Waltham, MA

Constant Contact, a Waltham-based provide of email marketing technology for small businesses, associations and nonprofits, has raised $15 million in a round of venture capital led by Greylock Partners, which committed $10 million. Other investors in the deal include Commonwealth Capital Ventures, Hudson Ventures, Longworth Venture Partners, and Morgan Stanley Venture Partners. Launched in 1998, Constant Contact helps small businesses and organizations build customer relationships through email communications. The company said that in 2005 it doubled its customer base from 25,000 to 50,000 and saw an 84% increase in revenue. It currently has 65,000 customers.
