Top10 Media Raises $3.5 Million of Venture Capital - Cambridge, MA

Top10 Media, a Cambridge-based provider of online networking services for publishing and retail applications, has raised $3.5 million in a round of venture capital led by Highland Capital Partners with participation from Schooner Capital and others. Founded last year, Top10 Media's service allows users to tap into blogs, podcasts, video, and mainstream news outlets on the web. The company recently acquired Blogniscient, a set of algorithms that automatically categorize and rank user-generated and other web-based content.
