iSkoot Raises $6.2 Million in First Round - Cambridge, MA

iSkoot, a Cambridge-based developer of software that connects cell phones to Internet phone services, has raised $6.2 million in its first round of venture capital, led by Khosla Ventures, according to a report by Private Equity Week on Wednesday. Currently, iSkoot's phone application and network support the Skype service, but the company said it will be expanding support to new platforms and services, including Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger.
