Optaros, a Boston-based consulting and systems integration firm focusing on Internet applications, has raised $12.5 million in its second round of venture capital, Private Equity Week reported on Thursday, citing a regulatory filing. Globespan Capital Partners led the investment, according to the report. Optaros offers systems integration based on open source software and open standards. The firm was founded in 2004 and received initial funding from Charles River Ventures.
