Groove Mobile raises $6M in VC Funding - Bedford, MA

Groove Mobile Inc. received the venture funding from Orix Venture Finance, which is an arm of Texas-based Orix USA Corp. Groove's technology is designed to enable mobile phone users to download full-track songs to handsets. The company has launched its service in several countries in Europe and broke into the U.S. market in 2006 via a deal with Sprint. Founded in 2002, Groove has raised $32 million in capital to date, according to company officials.
