Peermeta Raises $6 Million in First Round of Venture Capital - Acton, MA

Peermeta, an Acton-based developer of mobile communications software, has raised $6 million in its first round of venture capital, led by Sigma Partners and Kepha Partners. Founded earlier this year, Peermeta is developing software for accessing, customizing and sharing content, using any type of wireless device or network. Peermeta is led by entrepreneur Cheng Wu, who founded Arris Networks, ArrowPoint and Acopia Networks, and who also was general manager of Cisco's content and multiservice edge businesses.
