EMC Acquires Software Firm ProActivity - Newton, MA

EMC has acquired ProActivity, a privately held, Newton-based provider of content management software. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. EMC said that ProActivity will be integrated immediately into EMC's Software Group. Proactivity's R&D operations in Israel will form a foundation of EMC's R&D operations in that country, along with EMC's other Israel-based acquisitions, Kashya and nLayers.
