PatientKeeper Receives $8M in VC Funding - Newton, MA

PatientKeeper Inc., a company that develops software to assist physicians, has closed an $8 million round of funding. The funding represents an E Round, bringing its total funding to $67.7 million.

The private company employs 80. PatientKeeper's applications allow physicians to access their patients' electronic records, write prescriptions, enter charges for services, and send messages to other medical professionals.

This round of funding includes a syndicate of health-care venture capital firms including Frazier Healthcare, Mediphase Venture Partners, Mosaix Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Pacific Venture Group, Saints Capital, and Whitney & Co.
