Onyx Software purchased by holding company - Stoneham, MA

In a $92 million transaction, Onyx Software Corp. is being bought out by a holding company backed by Battery Ventures and Thoma Cressey Equity Partners. The company is being acquired by M2M Holdings Inc., which controls Made2Manage Systems Inc. Since 2003, the Indianapolis entities have disclosed $80 million in funding from Battery and Thoma Cressey.
Onyx has a local office in Stoneham, MA, while Battery has offices in Wellesley, Mass., and Thoma Cressey is located in Boston.
