TA Associates and Rho Ventures Invest in IntraLinks - Boston, MA

TA Associates, a Boston-based private equity firm, has invested along with Rho Ventures in the recapitalization of IntraLinks, a New York-based provider of Internet communication networks for businesses. Rho has been a major shareholder in IntraLinks since 2001, and will continue to hold a significant stake in the company, said an announcement about the deal. Terms of the investment were not disclosed. Founded in 1996, Intralinks' web browser-based system supports the secure flow of information and documents. The company has had some of its best success in the pharmaceutical and financial services industries.
