CRI raises $10M Series A round of funding - Shelton, CT

CRI, founded in 2001, is an independent IT virtualization consulting and professional services firm. It lists among its customers, CooperVision Inc., Timex Corp and Yale University. officials said Waltham-based Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Sigma Partners, which operates an office in Boston, led the $10 million funding round. A portion of the funding was applied to the acquisition of Bridgeport, Conn.-based consulting company Computer Resolutions Inc. that closed Aug. 21 for an undisclosed amount. The funding will also be used to build the company's management team, expand its operations and fund future acquisitions, officials said. Commonwealth general partner Justin Perreault and Sigma Partners' managing director Robert Davoli joined the company's board of directors.
