Boston-based Grid-X Announces $2 Million in Funding - Boston, MA

Grid-X, the Boston-based developer of an ultra high-speed offload and networking technology for data centers, clusters, and grid computing systems, announced on Tuesday that it has secured over $800,000 in new government contracts, customer contributions, and seed investments -- bringing its total funds to over $2 million to date. Operating in “stealth” mode, the company says its new design uses unique algorithms and coding to develop “what will be the lowest cost, fastest offload engine on the market.” Grid-X says its technology is being beta-tested at some aerospace firms, government laboratories, and defense firms.
